Boys Miss Out on Big Cup Party

Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter would have been among friends had he made his expected trip to Melbourne for Cup Week. Nick and his brother Aaron cancelled their trip to Australia at the last minute. Had Nick made it to the Birdcage, he would have had a ready-made guide in Melbourne model Claire Grieve. Grieve and Nick dated for several months after meeting at the Backstreet Boys' concert at Rod Laver Arena in February. The pair continued to date when Grieve moved to LA to pursue an acting career. While they are no longer seeing each other, Grieve said she remains friends with the singer, who previously had a tempestuous relationship with socialite Paris Hilton.
